The Artist and her Atelier

Welcome to J. Childs (Jaynè) Atelier, her residence for over 26 years, a lot of imagination built this amazing space from a giant white elephant, inspiring creativity to explode. Colours, shapes in a large assortment of materials, fuel this multi-medium artist’s palette.

Childs has explored many mediums, marbling, copper embossing, large steel sculptures created with plasma cutters and torches. A painters brush capturing the eyes and character of subjects in watercolour/gouache/acrylic/ink has been a favourite.

Inspired by muses and subjects to create art works that support important campaigns and causes, Childs created two large Portfolios, which have now been retired. Curling Champion Art and Village Flowers.
